Jayden Bartels exits the Good Morning America studios on Wednesday morning (January 8) in New York City.
The 20-year-old actress was on the morning news show that day to chat up her upcoming series Goosebumps: The Vanishing, alongside her co-star Sam McCarthy.

The upcoming second season of the Goosebumps anthology series kicks off with their twin characters, Devin (McCarthy) and Cece (Bartels), fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex (Noel), CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.
While on GMA, the co-stars dished on the upcoming episodes, which premiere THIS Friday (January 10) on Disney+ and Hulu!
“Even just hearing about the role and it coming my way, I was like oh, Goosebumps. I mean, the name, everyone knows it. Any time I say it, they’re like, ‘The ones I read growing up?’ Yes. So, there was definitely like, I want to, you know, give the nostalgia back to all the people that grew up with it,” Jayden shared. “I was just honored to take on this big franchise.”
Jayden also noted that she was freaking out when she learned David Schwimmer was playing her dad on the show.
“My friend is the biggest Friends fan, so I was like, oh she’s going to die, she’s going to lose her mind,” she added. “She came to the set, she was like, ‘I saw him and that was enough for me.’”
“Working with him is a pleasure,” Jayden said.
Of the level of spooky the show is, Sam noted, “It’s not absolutely terrifying. It’s a little creepy.”
